I grew up with early '80's music. Runs in my blood, pulsing strong and deep with a resounding call to those times when dead-end streets were my haven. A haven from bullshit jobs, where a bottle of beer and friends were always found slumped on the hoods of cars under the mecury vapor lights.

That was then.

Now it's all on CD. The records? Yeah, I've got them. No record player though. But those bands still live with me. Yet I find that most people haven't heard of a lot of them and that is too bad, they were good.

I didn't grow up with the typical '80's sound, though I know it all. Yeah, I pretend to. No, I dove deep into the backs of mags and record shops hoping to find the rare sounds, often picking out bands by name alone.

One such band left a mark on me that has yet to fade even 13 years after their demise. Lucky for me a label picked up their old stuff (all three LP's) and released them on CD. Try and find them. They're out there.

The Chameleons UK.

They only nursed three LP's from a dying studio in England before they faded away, but now, a decade later folks want them. Strange Times indeed. They have over 14 releases out now.

Try one.
