Gonna rain hard tonight.
70mph winds. Thunderclouds. Tornadoes. If it does half what the weathermen and radios say I'm in for one hell of a ride. I hope they're right. I could use a wrench in the works. After the emergency broadcast system announced floods for the third time in a little over an hour I went to the store and picked up a couple pints. You know when it's really gonna come down because the rats leave the sewers and run in packs down the road seeking cover. The college kids come out, turn on their radios and sit on the porches of Tate St., smoking. You can smell the change, feel the pressure in the air know what is coming. Dogs look forlornly at their masters, then to the sky, and back again; pulling on the leash to get home. It is calm now. Peaceful, but not for long... goodnight 3.20.98
